BookMyClass vs Eventbrite for classes and recurring events
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Eventbrite is the best-known ticketing platform for events of every size. BookMyClass is a booking page for people who run classes and smaller recurring events. They overlap, but they are built for different jobs.
Summary
- Choose BookMyClass for recurring classes and small events where you want one page with your whole schedule, a low fee on cheap tickets and no per-ticket fixed fee.
- Choose Eventbrite for large one-off events, events that need many ticket types or assigned seating, or big free events where Eventbrite costs nothing. BookMyClass sessions hold up to 30 places on Free and 150 on Pro.

What the fixed fee means for cheap tickets
Eventbrite's per-ticket fixed fee weighs most on low prices. Using their published US pricing, a $15 ticket carries about $2.35 in service fee plus about $0.44 in payment processing, around 18% of the ticket price in total. On BookMyClass the platform fee on the same $15 booking is $0.75 (Free) or $0.15 (Pro), plus Stripe's card fee. For expensive tickets the difference shrinks, and Eventbrite passes its fees to buyers by default.
Recurring classes
BookMyClass is built around recurring sessions: you create a class once, add its dates, and people see your whole schedule on one booking page with free spots per session. Eventbrite supports recurring events too, but it is designed around individual event listings and tickets.
Discovery
Eventbrite has a large marketplace where people browse events, which can bring you new attendees. BookMyClass does not have an audience of its own: you bring people with your booking link, through Instagram, newsletters or your website.
