Booking fees: who pays and how much

BookMyClass charges a small booking fee on paid bookings: 5% on the Free plan, 1% on Pro. Free bookings have no fee. You decide who pays it.

Option 1: you pay the fee (default)

Participants pay your price. The fee is taken from the payment, so for a 200 kr class on the Free plan you receive 190 kr, minus Stripe's card fee.

Option 2: participants pay the fee

The fee is added on top of your price and shown on your booking page before people book, for example "200 kr + 10 kr booking fee". You receive your full 200 kr, minus Stripe's card fee.

  1. Go to "Settings".
  2. Tick "Participants pay the booking fee" and save.
  3. From now on, new paid bookings show the fee and include it in the total. Bookings already paid are not changed.

How the fee is calculated

  • Percentage of the price per place: 5% on Free, 1% on Pro. For several places in one booking, it is the fee per place times the number of places.
  • Calculated to the öre/cent, with no minimum fee.
  • Stripe's own card processing fee is separate and always paid by you.
  • If a paid booking is cancelled in time and refunded, the booking fee is refunded too.
