Get paid: connect Stripe

Payments go through Stripe, straight to your own Stripe account. BookMyClass never holds your money. You need to set this up once before you can create paid classes.

Set up payments

  1. Go to "Settings" and find "Payments".
  2. Choose the "Country of your business". This cannot be changed later: payouts go to a bank account in this country.
  3. Choose "Get Started" and complete Stripe's form: your details, business information and the bank account for payouts.
  4. When you are done, the Payments card shows your connected account with a check mark, and you can tick "Require payment?" on classes.

How payouts work

When someone books a paid class they pay immediately, and the booking is confirmed once the payment succeeds. Stripe pays the money out to your bank account on its regular payout schedule. You can see payments and payouts in your Stripe dashboard.

Fees

  • BookMyClass booking fee: 5% of each paid booking on the Free plan, 1% on Pro. You choose whether you pay it or it is added on top of the price for the participant (see "Booking fees").
  • Stripe processing fees, which depend on the payment method and country (see stripe.com/pricing).
  • No fees on free bookings.

Payment methods

Which payment methods people see (for example cards and Klarna) depends on what Stripe offers and enables for your account and the class currency.
